Types of Cloth Diapers

You may have seen many different types of diapers - well let’s break it down into just 2 types for now.

There are 1-step cloth diapers & 2-step cloth diapers.

The easiest is generally 1-step diapers including all in ones cloth diapers (AIO’s) & pocket cloth diapers. These tend to be more expensive and a favourite of dads and babysitters.

Then there are 2-step diapers. Step 1 is generally to put the absorbent part of the diaper in place and then step 2 is to put the water proof cover on top (either PUL or wool). Fitted cloth diapers, Prefold cloth diapers, and All in two’s are all 2-step diapers. These are great for newborns when you’re going through more diapers as you can reuse the diaper covers for multiple changes and save money.
